It was an exciting week at Silver Creek Golf Club, as players from around the Finger Lakes continue to love what the course has to offer. It has become repetitive to say, but without the excellent work of Superintendent Paul Clark and his staff, the course would simply not be in the pristine condition it has remained.
The temperatures have stayed hot, the weather has stayed dry, but the course remains as playable as ever – even with tournaments pouring onto the course by the day.
The week was capped off with the KMR Memorial Fund and Golf Event, which was held at Silver Creek with great reviews. Golfers had a great time, and below — you can see some of the posts from social media, which were shared with Silver Creek Golf Club on Facebook.
There was even a celebrity sighting at Silver Creek Golf Club, as former NFL Quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles Kevin Kolb was in attendance.
There was even a hole-in-one this week at the Creek. Steve Aronson, holed out on 14 with a 5-iron to score his FIRST hole-in-one. We would like to send a BIG congratulations to Steve, and an even bigger THANK YOU to everyone who participated in the action this week at Silver Creek.
On July 24th, Silver Creek scored their first victory in the annual Ryder Cup Matchup between Silver Creek Golf Club and Big Oak Golf Club. A full-recap of the action at Big Oak Golf Course in Geneva can be viewed by following the social link below.
This week we have multiple tournaments on tap — as Thursday, Friday, and Saturday will see tournament play. The Waterloo Rec, Wadhams Tourney, and American Legion are all set to hold their events at Silver Creek Golf Club this week!
There is plenty of time for open golf, though! Be sure to call the pro shop for your tee time, and be sure to visit Silver Creek, as the weather continues to be beautiful for golf.
